OMG
YO. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released on July 21, 2007!! Now I need to decide what to do. I think that since Book 4 or something, I went to the midnight party at Barnes and Noble back at home. But this summer, I'll be living in Madison. Should I go all the way back home? Or stay here? I DON'T KNOW, BUT I SHOULD PRE-ORDER NOW.

Yes. I am that cool.

And now, on blogs. It's weird writing blog entries, because really I'm writing for two audiences. Firstly, there's my blog, which is read primarily by people I know from high school/college/life. Secondly, there's my LiveJournal, which is read primarily by people I know via the internets. So! When you guys leave comments, you should know that there are comments in two places! Blog whores should investigate the LiveJournal for more comments, and LiveJournal whores can peruse the blog. No, I don't know why I do things this way either.
But that's not all on blogs! My awesome friend Steph has started writing in her blog again. So you should read it. Because most of her entries make me laugh a lot. Also! My friend Jennifer has started a blog that will chronicle her study-abroad adventures this semester in Madrid, Spain.

Who is YOUR favorite Disney heroine?
I need to think of a good poll question for tomorrow's Almanac page in The Daily Cardinal. When I copy edited Monday night, all we could come up with was "Who's Your Favorite Disney Princess?" But that is so limiting! Like, a person could not pick Belle from Beauty and the Beast, because she's not a princess. Maybe I'll go with "heroine" instead. But, who to include? Who to discard? I'll have to include Ariel because most people our age are fans (even though she's selfish and only motivated by her own desires for the entire movie!). Perhaps Nala, because I love The Lion King. Who else? Jasmine, Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Mulan (yes! Female empowerment! She was not the stupid bitch who whined until a man came and saved her), Pocahantas, Lady, Esmeralda. Why are there so damn many of them? I have room for 5 at most. *whine*

Big Plans
It keeps snowing here. Which is sort of okay, except that I hate the disgusting slush that I have to walk on everywhere. Part of city living, I guess. Still. :/
I already have some of my weekend planned out. On Friday, after Shakespeare class, Gretchen's coming over so that we can watch Julius Caesar. And on Saturday, if nothing else comes up, there's always Anime Club. I also would like to run to Half-Price Books and Borders (What?! A girl has needs.). Louise also tells me that Westfield comics is running a survey right now, and if you fill it out, you enter a chance to win a $100 spree at their store. I think I would explode from sheer happiness if I ever won something like that. Just spontaneously combust.

These are the thoughts I have in the morning when I'm still hyper and not yet hating people.

Skewl
In other news, I have yet to really hate school this semester (except for my Sci-Fi/Fantasy class, which has thus far been SO disappointing). Especially Jane Eyre! OMG, it's so good, I love it. Although, I'm going to go ahead and say that Charlotte Bronte is NOT being subtle with the end of my most recent chapter - lightning strikes a tree in the middle of a storm and leaves it split in half! And not just any tree, but the tree under which two characters just professed their love for each other! Hmmmmm, I suspect angst.
Also, in Shakespeare class, we're working on Hamlet. I don't even know why I love Hamlet so much. I really don't. All I know is that I sit there during lecture scarcely able to contain myself because ANGST. Hamlet is so smart! So angsty! I love him. I had never really liked Ophelia before, but the professor provides some nice insight. Also, lecture is a much more rewarding experience when I'm already very familiar with a play, and have read lots of criticisms on it. Unfortunately, when it comes to Shakespeare, I've really only ever done that with Hamlet. Ah, well.

Noes.
WTF, it's February! It's time to turn the page in my Battlestar Galactica calendar. Good thing February means 2 pictures of Gaius/Six about to have sex.

Why do I waste so much time on the internets? If I was actually doing stuff, I'd have more things to write about. With that in mind, I'm off to prepare for the day and finish up some stray homework!

"By no means should a man take off his clothes in this office!"
"SHUT UP, ANGELA!"
On in 10 minutes!!

Thanks for the plug.

I think Heroine is the best. Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella, and Mulan. At least those are the most popular ones.

What the hell, when did it become February? I'm going home this weekend =)

Oh, Julius.... I'm excited.

And I'm *really* excited for you to finish Jane Eyre so I can cackle over it with you and talk endlessly about it because I'm an english major and I like doing things like that, damnit.
